Village of the Sobrarbe region, located at 569m altitude, is part of a privileged environment. The area, located between the confluence of the rivers Cinca and Ara, is surrounded by nothing less than the Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park, the Posets Maladeta Natural Park, and the Sierra y Cañones de Guara Natural Park.
Its orography allows the sun to penetrate early in the morning, and the mountain massifs that surround it to the north keep rainfall at bay. These conditions make the area a perfect environment to enjoy cycling during most of the year, except for the hottest months.
The area is also characterized by the number of abandoned villages and hamlets in the middle of the mountains, some of which we will cross with our bikes, giving a bucolic touch to the trip.
It also has an enviable cultural heritage. The town encompasses a medieval village declared a Historic-Artistic Site. Its main square, near the castle, is one of the best places where you can relax and have a drink after riding.
Trails
Aínsa enduro is part of the MTB center “Zona Zero”, one of the pioneers in Spain in terms of enduro and the most important at present. Its trails have hosted the Enduro World Series in 2015 and 2018. Zone Zero has more than 500 km of bikeable trails, which means a great variety of terrains and landscapes.
Enjoy endless descents with which to start the day and shorter ones with which to end it. Downhills through lush forests or over open peaks, more technical or faster descents. There is something for everyone. Perhaps the most representative terrain of Zone Zero is its famous “marl”, rock formations very abundant in the area, and that translate into pure flow on the back of our bikes.
The Trip
We start the trip in Madrid, leaving from a meeting point or picking you up at the airport,
From Madrid, we will travel to Aínsa, and we will go directly to the hotel where we will stay for the weekend. We always select those hotels prepared to receive bicycles, most hotels are oriented to a cycling public, offering all kinds of amenities: a safe place to store the bikes, hose, basic tools…
During Friday afternoon and all day Saturday and Sunday, we will take you to see the best trails in the area, in our van with a bike trailer. Open bar of ski lifts: As long as your strength lasts!
