Itinerary
Day 1 · Arrival in Salzburg
Group welcome, bike handover and free time to discover the historic centre of Salzburg, a UNESCO World Heritage city.
Day 2 · Salzburg – Bischofshofen (53 km)
We begin by following the Salzach river valley through small alpine villages and spectacular mountain scenery.
Day 3 · Bischofshofen – Bad Gastein (52 km)
First major alpine stage to the elegant spa town of Bad Gastein, one of the most iconic spots on the route.
Day 4 · Bad Gastein – Mallnitz – Spittal an der Drau (59 km)
We will cross the historic Tauern tunnel by train before starting an impressive descent towards Hohe Tauern National Park.
Day 5 · Spittal an der Drau – Villach (39 km)
We will ride alongside the Drava river, enjoying a comfortable day among forests and small villages of Carinthia.
Day 6 · Villach – Tarvisio – Venzone (98 km)
We will enter Italy to ride the spectacular Pontebbana Greenway, one of the most impressive bike lanes in Europe.
Day 7 · Venzone – Udine (55 km)
The mountains give way to the vineyards of Friuli as we discover medieval villages and an increasingly Mediterranean landscape.
Day 8 · Udine – Grado (59 km)
The last stage will take us to the Adriatic Sea, passing through Palmanova and Aquileia, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites, before arriving in Grado, where we will celebrate the end of our adventure.
