El Bierzo is located in the west of the province of León, bordering Asturias to the north and Galicia to the west. Its rugged mountainous terrain is idyllic for pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago and enduro enthusiasts alike.
Ponferrada is the capital of the El Bierzo region of León. Located at 512 m above sea level, it’s part of a privileged setting, once the territory of knights charged with protecting pilgrims in the Middle Ages. Its iconic Templar castle rises on a hill at the confluence of the Boeza and Sil rivers.
TRAILS
Get ready for one of the best enduro areas on the peninsula. We’ll move through the Aquilianos mountains, the Valle del Silencio and Monte Pajariel.
We’ll enjoy a wide variety of trails, mostly descents on narrow paths through incredible landscapes that, depending on the time of year, can turn violet thanks to the lavender that can cover the whole mountainside.
THE TRIP
From Madrid, we’ll travel to Molinaseca and head straight to the hotel where we’ll stay for the weekend. We always choose hotels set up to welcome bikes.
During Saturday and Sunday, we’ll take you to the best trails in the area in our van with a bike trailer. Unlimited shuttle lifts, as many as your legs can handle!
We’ll return to Madrid on Sunday afternoon.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Ponferrada

Day 2: Molinaseca – El Acebo

Day of shuttle lifts with MTB Spain in the Molinaseca – El Acebo area.

Free afternoon to visit Ponferrada or relax.

Day 3: Monte Pajariel – Valle del Silencio

MTB route exploring the legendary Monte Pajariel, with technical descents and flow.

Connecting through to the impressive Valle del Silencio, surrounded by wild nature.

Return to the country house for a relaxing afternoon.

Day 4: Zona Alfa – Enduro Day

4 shuttle lifts in Zona Alfa, exploring the region’s best descents.

Jumps, berms and fast trails with logistical support.

Day 5: Zona Alfa – Shuttle Lifts and E-bike
