Embark on an extraordinary journey with MTB Spain in the heart of the Peruvian Andes. This trip combines thousand-year-old history, authentic Andean communities and spectacular high-mountain landscapes. From the mystical city of Cusco to the shores of the impressive Lake Titicaca, you will ride through remote routes, high-plateau lagoons and ancestral paths, finishing in the city of Puno.
An adventure designed for cyclists looking for more than kilometers: they seek history, authenticity and unique landscapes at over 3,500 meters of altitude.

We will ride between 2,800 m and 4,600 m, crossing high plateaus, Andean passes and sacred valleys.

Accommodation in local communities such as Raqchi, sharing gastronomy and traditions.

Dirt tracks, rural roads, panoramic descents and high-altitude rolling stages.
Ongoing Support

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Lima
Pickup at Lima airport and private transfer to the hotel.
Free time to rest or stroll around Miraflores.
Day 2: Lima – Cusco
Flight to Cusco (3,400 m).
Acclimatization day. We recommend a gentle walk around the historic center and good hydration.
Optional: add an extra night for better altitude adaptation.
Day 3: Machu Picchu
Early departure towards Ollantaytambo.
Train to Aguas Calientes and guided visit to Machu Picchu.
Return to Cusco in the afternoon.
An essential day before starting the bike journey.
MTB JOURNEY CUSCO – LAKE TITICACA
Day 4: Maras – Sacred Valley (Stage 1)
Start at the Pampa de Chinchero (3,500 m).
We ride around Lake Piuray and descend towards the village of Maras and the impressive Maras Salt Mines down to the Sacred Valley (2,850 m).
Terrain type: dirt tracks and simple trails
Maximum altitude: 3,500 m
Final altitude: 2,850–2,900 m
Optional extension: Misminay (+250 m elevation gain)
Day 5: Four Lagoons – Raqchi (Stage 2)
Transfer to Pomacanchi (3,600 m).
High-plateau route passing through Tungasuca, historic territory of Túpac Amaru II.
Descent towards Tinta and arrival at Raqchi.
Accommodation managed by the Andean community.
Terrain type: dirt and asphalt, gentle steady climb
Average altitude: 3,500–3,800 m
Optional extension: Climb to Torreta (+250 m)
Day 6: Pallay Punchu – La Raya – Ayaviri (Stage 3)
Start at Pallay Punchu (4,600 m).
Panoramic descent towards the road followed by a climb up to La Raya (4,300 m).
Final ride on asphalt to Ayaviri (3,900 m).
Terrain type: descent + rolling section
Maximum altitude: 4,600 m
Optional extension: full climb by bike (+800 m)
Day 7: Ayaviri – Sillustani – Puno (Stage 4)
Route towards Lake Umayo and visit to the funerary towers of Sillustani.
Final transfer to Puno.
Terrain: mostly flat at 3,800 m
Optional extension: Tinajani – Vilavila (+1,000 m elevation gain)
Day 8: Lake Titicaca (Stage 5)
Route through the Chucuito peninsula skirting the majestic Lake Titicaca.
Open landscapes, Andean fields and direct contact with local communities.
Terrain: flat with gentle undulations
Average altitude: 3,800 m
Optional extension: +30–60 km
Day 9: Puno – Lima
Transfer to Juliaca airport.
Flight to Lima and overnight hotel stay.
Day 10: Return Home
Transfer to the airport and end of the trip.
