The Camino de Santiago by Bike: A Legendary Adventure

With MTB Spain, you will live a unique experience riding two historic routes: the Vía de la Plata in southern Spain and the Camino Francés. This cycling journey will take you through landscapes of extraordinary beauty, following ancient roads forged by history.

The Vía de la Plata: Following in Rome’s Footsteps

The Vía de la Plata, one of the most important Roman roads in Hispania, connects the fertile lands of the south with the mountainous north. Along the way, you will cross historic cities such as Mérida, with its majestic Roman theatre, and discover towns full of history and charm, where Roman, Muslim and Christian vestiges coexist.

The Camino Francés: The Pilgrims’ Route

From the Vía de la Plata, you will link up with the legendary Camino Francés, the most famous pilgrimage route to the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. You will ride through mountains, valleys and green forests, passing medieval villages and monasteries that have welcomed pilgrims for over a thousand years.
