Málaga Enduro MTB
Enduro on the Costa del Sol
Weekend – 499 €/person
ANDALUSIA – ENDURO
Málaga is the largest city on Spain’s southern coast, also known as the “Costa del Sol.” It’s one of those privileged places that has both mountains (the Sierra de Mijas) and coastline. Nothing beats descending with the sea as your backdrop.
Málaga’s climate is typically Mediterranean, marked by mild temperatures and little rainfall, even in winter. In fact, it’s one of the sunniest places in Spain, with more days of sunshine per year than almost anywhere else.
Trails
The areas closest to the coast, Mijas and Benalmádena, feature natural descents, with rock gardens and loose dirt. But without a doubt, what stands out most about these trails is the views: riding down the mountain with the sea as a backdrop is a unique experience.
In the town of Alhaurín de la Torre lies what was once a limestone quarry, now abandoned and turned into a mini bike park. Short but well-used descents, fun and well maintained, with berms and plenty of jumps.
The El Chorro area is known for El Caminito del Rey, the famous hiking trail built into the walls of the Gaitanes Gorge. The area isn’t just a spot for hiking or climbing. It also has some of the most fun bike descents in Spain: narrow, very fast trails from start to finish.
The Trip
The trip begins by picking you up at the airport. Málaga has an international airport just an hour from where we’ll be staying, but we can also pick you up at any hotel in Madrid, where our headquarters are.
From there we’ll take you to the hotel where we’ll stay during the trip, located in El Chorro. We always choose hotels specifically set up to welcome bikes. All of them have a secure place to store them, a hose, basic tools…
During the day we’ll take you to the best trails in the area in our van with a bike trailer. Unlimited shuttle lifts, as many as your legs can handle.
In the evenings, we’ll take you to any restaurant you’d like for dinner if you wish, and at the end of the tour, we’ll drop you back off at the airport or your hotel.
