Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Sarria

Sarria is one of the most popular starting points on the Camino. On arrival, you can stroll through its charming historic center, visit the Monastery of La Magdalena and the old castle, or relax in the peaceful Parque do Chanto. Enjoy a coffee on a terrace before the welcome briefing and group dinner.

Day 2: Sarria – Portomarín (22.2 km · 5 hours)

The first stage runs through centuries-old oak trees, traditional granaries and small Galician villages. At the end of the day, you’ll cross the bridge over the Miño River to reach Portomarín, where you can visit the impressive Church of San Nicolás, moved stone by stone from the old village flooded by the reservoir.

Day 3: Portomarín – Palas de Rei (24.8 km · 6 hours)

The day begins with a climb toward the Serra de Ligonde, passing through villages such as Gonzar and Castromaior, where you can discover ancient Celtic remains. Before reaching Palas de Rei, visit the Church of Santa María and, if you wish, take a side trip to the nearby Pambre Castle, one of the best-preserved in Galicia.

Day 4: Palas de Rei – Arzúa (28.5 km · 7 hours)

One of the most beautiful and varied stages of the Camino. The trails intertwine with the Iso River and pass through forests, medieval bridges, and villages full of history. You can choose to split this day in two and spend the night in Melide, where the “pulpo á feira” and its centuries-old chapels await you. Arzúa welcomes you with its famous Church of A Magdalena and the chance to try its Denomination of Origin cheese.

Day 5: Arzúa – O Pino (17.7 km · 4 hours)

A shorter and more serene stage, ideal for connecting with the surroundings. You will walk through forests, crossing small streams and visiting the Chapel of Santa Irene, a resting place highly valued by pilgrims. You will finish the day in O Pedrouzo, where the Church of Santa Eulalia is located.

Day 6: O Pino – Santiago de Compostela (22 km · 5 hours)

The final stage. You will cross Lavacolla, where pilgrims traditionally washed before reaching the holy city. From Monte do Gozo you will catch your first glimpse of the Cathedral’s towers. Entering through San Lázaro, you will make your way into Santiago’s historic center until you reach the imposing Plaza del Obradoiro, where your journey culminates.
