Itinerary

Stage 1: Rabanal del Camino - Molinaseca (24.5 km)

Begin your adventure in Rabanal del Camino, a charming village that will welcome you with its medieval atmosphere and impressive architecture. As you progress, you’ll marvel at the mountainous landscapes and picturesque trails that will lead you to Molinaseca. Enjoy the charming stone bridges and traditional houses as you make your way through this initial stage.

Stage 2: Molinaseca - Villafranca del Bierzo (31 km)

Continue your journey from Molinaseca to Villafranca del Bierzo, a picturesque town known for its historical and cultural richness. On this longer stage, you’ll delight in beautiful landscapes, vineyards and centuries-old chestnut trees. As you approach Villafranca del Bierzo, don’t forget to visit the Church of Santiago and the famous Puente de la Cárcel.

 

Stage 3: Villafranca del Bierzo - Vega de Valcárce (18 km)

On this stage, you’ll delve even deeper into the green, mountainous landscape of the Camino de Santiago. You’ll walk along trails surrounded by lush forests and enjoy the tranquility of nature as you make your way towards Vega de Valcárce. Don’t forget to stop in the villages and enjoy the hospitality of the locals.

Stage 4: Vega de Valcárce - O Cebreiro (12 km)

Get ready for one of the most challenging and exciting stages of the Camino. As you approach O Cebreiro, you’ll climb through steep hills and marvel at the panoramic views of the Galician mountains. Arriving at O Cebreiro will be a reward in itself, with its medieval charm and traditional pallozas.

Stage 5: O Cebreiro - Triacastela (21 km)

Continue your walk from O Cebreiro to Triacastela, enjoying mountainous landscapes and winding trails. You’ll come across ancient churches, such as the Church of San Salvador in Padornelo, and enjoy the serenity of the surrounding nature. Triacastela will welcome you with its rural charm and rich history.

Stage 6: Triacastela - Sarria (21.5 km)

On the final stage of this stretch of the Camino de Santiago, you’ll walk from Triacastela to Sarria. Enjoy the beautiful green landscapes and small Galician villages on your way to Sarria.
